Inter-school quiz on leprosy held

THE MEDICINE department of Gandhi Medical College (GMC), Bhopal, organised an inter-school quiz on leprosy on the conclusion of leprosy fortnight being observed as part of the National Leprosy Eradication Programme.

THE MEDICINE department of Gandhi Medical College (GMC), Bhopal, organised an inter-school quiz on leprosy on the conclusion of leprosy fortnight being observed as part of the National Leprosy Eradication Programme.

The quiz was organised today at the Government Hamidia Girls School Number 1 at Fatehgarh. Medicine department HOD Dr T N Dubey said on the occasion that awareness about leprosy eradication among children had greatly helped reduce leprosy over the years.

Dr Dubey appreciated the efforts like this quiz and said that similar programmes should be conducted in the future too. Students of Hamidia Girls School won the quiz competition while teams of Canyon HS School and Royal Public School stood second and third respectively. Dr Meenakshi Tandon, District Leprosy Officer Dr K C Raikawar, Dr Bhatnagar, school principal Pratibha Gurjar and others were also present.
