It's all about confidence: Dhoni
He said that there is no use taking undue pressure while playing at international level.india Updated: Feb 14, 2006 16:05 IST
India's hero Mahendra Singh Dhoni described his unbeaten match-winning innings of 72 here as the best in his short career.
"It's hard to say which was a better knock. My innings of 148 in Vizag was my maiden hundred and it helped my team win. But, the wicket there was flat and I had my best chance to score runs since I was batting at number three," Dhoni said.
"However, the amount of pressure I had here was much more. In Vizag I had no pressure, so this was a much better innings," added the dashing Indian wicketkeeper-batsman.
Asked about the key to his huge success in such a short time, the Jharkhand lad said it was all about confidence.
"At this level, it's all about confidence and there's no point taking any undue pressure."
He also said keeping wickets in one-day was much harder. "It's a bit more difficult. You need to stop runs around the bat, you need to interact with the skipper and with the bowler just to tell how much the ball is moving. But then, it all boils down to your confidence whether you are batting, bowling, fielding or keeping wickets," Dhoni said.
