Italian minister arrives in Kerala to hold talks with Chandy

Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Steffan de Mistura arrived in Kochi tonight from Delhi to hold talks with Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy on the arrest of two Italian guards in connection with the killing of two Indian fishermen at sea.

Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Steffan de Mistura arrivedin Kochi on Wednesday from Delhi to hold talks with Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy on the arrest of two Italian guards in connection with the killing of two Indian fishermen at sea.

Mistura was accompanied by Italian ambassador to India Giacomo Sanfelice and two embassy officials.

Italian Consul General in Mumbai Giampaolo Cutillo and the captain of the ship Enrica Lexie were among those who received the minister.

Mistura and his entourage immediately left for Nattakam guest house in Kottayam where he will be meeting Chandy.
