A Division Bench of Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain and Justice BA Kirmani, after hearing the CBI counsel, listed the case for hearing on Friday.

Publisher Akash Amin Bhat and editor Raja Mohiuddin of local Urdu daily Tameel-e-Irshad appeared before the court in person following issuance of notices to them for publishing an unconfirmed report about involvement of a bureaucrat in the sex racket.

Bhat said they have tendered an apology before the court but appealed to it to take note also of similar reports published in local dailies and newspapers in other parts of the country.

The Bench has issued strictures on media against publishing any unconfirmed or speculative reports about the racket.

More than 12 people, including two former ministers, a former Additional Advocate General, an IAS officer, a DIG BSF, two Dy SPs and the alleged kingpin of the racket have been arrested in connection with the case, so far, by the CBI.
