A stylish top-order batsman, Jean-Paul Duminy was called in for the national team's tour of Sri Lanka after his consistent domestic performances.

Just 20 years of age, he stroked an impressive 116 to rescue his Under-19 team. In the 2003-04 domestic season, he went on to score two first-class centuries as well as three fifties and finished with an average of 72.57.

A young addition to the national side he could also be handy with his occassional off breaks.
