Socialite Bina Ramani was among those questioned, a day after she and her daughter Malini met Delhi Police Commissioner KK Paul and offered their full cooperation in the case.

Lall was shot dead on April 9, 1999 in an illegal bar being run in Ramani's Tamarind Court restaurant in South Delhi.

A court in New Delhi on February 21 acquitted prime accused Manu Sharma, son of a Haryana minister, and eight others, saying the prosecution had failed to prove its case.

The ruling sparked outrage across the country, prompting Delhi Police to appeal the verdict in Delhi High Court and to file fresh charges in the case.

Following widespread outrage at the shocking acquittal of the nine accused in the Lall murder case, Delhi Police has registered a case against unknown people for tampering of evidence and criminal conspiracy.

Tuesday's interrogations were part of the new probe.
