Jim Carrey is crazy about 23?

The Hollywood funnyman has even named his production company JC23, thanks to his obsession with the number 23.

Hollywood's funnyman Jim Carrey has revealed that he is obsessed with the number 23, due to which he also agreed to star in the new thriller The Number 23.

The actor believes that the double digit 23 is responsible for a host of occurrences throughout history, and has even named his production company JC23.

"I've been obsessed with the number 23 for years, ever since a friend of mine said one day that he saw the number 23 everywhere. Some of the most significant dates in history all add up to 23. Hiroshima was dropped at 8.15, for instance," he was quoted by Contactmusic,as saying.

"So after he started pointing it out, I immediately started seeing it too. It was like a disease. I became obsessed with it. It ended with me talking to a friend who is a minister and he handing me a book from his pocket that turned out to be the 23rd Psalm, The Lord Is My Shepherd and I shall not want. It became my motto. The 23 thing happens to me about 10 times a day. I just happened to tell my friend about it, who then said he'd just read a script called The Number 23," he added.
