Mane's friend Shivani Rawat, 18, who was with her in the car, had died at Nanavati Hospital on March 31, because of severe head injuries.

Six youngsters, three girls and three boys were injured in the car crash on Juhu Tara Road on March 30. Police said Rahul Mishra, 23, was driving under the influence of alcohol and had been speeding. He lost control of the four-wheeler and crashed the car into a tree opposite SNDT College.

"A team of three specialists confirmed the brain death of Nimisha Mane. As per norms we counselled the family and informed them about organ donation. The family agreed and donated her kidneys and liver," said Dr Ashok Hatolkar, medical superintendent, Nanavati Hospital.
