Shahid Kapoor on how he unwinds whenever he gets a free weekend

My kind of weekend:
Whenever I get a free weekend, I let the actor within me take a backseat and make way for the photographer that I so love to be. I click a lot of pictures randomly and on the weekend, I sit with my laptop and a photo software opened on it.

A techie in disguise:
These days, I’m fiddling with tones — varying from sepia to normal. It is amazing how different tones lend a picture an altogether new look. I’m so addicted to working on the photos on the computer that I lose track of time. And then my family and Kareena come into action.

On my free weekends, I have to take time out for them or else my laptop will be smashed on my head. Another reason why I stay glued to technology is because I am not at all a party person.

Favourite food:
Neither am I fond of eating out — I love home-cooked food. Indeed, both Kareena and I prefer our private space at home to going out. I think we love being that way because at other times, shooting keeps us away from the house. My friends know this and they too flock to my house when I’m free.

A perfect holiday
So for me, a perfect holiday is when I have my loved ones and friends around. Once again my laptop comes into action, as I have my DVD player and all my favourite music in it. Basically, I go with the flow of things around me. And to be able to enjoy it fully, I take the concept of timetable out of my schedule completely.
