The police have written to project director, Gurgaon Expressway, AK Singh to address the issue.

“Traffic merges from four different directions at the Iffco Chowk. There is heavy traffic movement from east and west Gurgaon. The risk also increases when traffic signals stop functioning after 10.30pm,” said a senior traffic police official.
There is a constant traffic movement from all four sides, so pedestrians find it extremely difficult to commute. They cross the road by putting their lives at risk, the official added.

“In an effort to prevent accidents, we have asked the NHAI to keep the signal on automatic mode at night,” the official added.
