Khurana to grace DJ hostel function
INMATES OF Allahabad University's Diamond Jubilee Hostel are going to organise a three-day annual function? Abhivyanjana-2006 at the hostel from March 3. A number of events and competitions including debates, antakshari, group dance, fashion show, ghazal singing, creative writing, poster competitions, quiz and qawwali besides a get-together on the concluding day have been planned for the occasion.

A number of events and competitions including debates, antakshari, group dance, fashion show, ghazal singing, creative writing, poster competitions, quiz and qawwali besides a get-together on the concluding day have been planned for the occasion.
Superintendent of the Diamond Jubilee Hostel Dr Prashant Agarwal informed that the inaugural ceremony of the function will take place at 10 am on Friday.
Former hostel inmate and former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana will be the chief guest on the occasion. A debate competition on 'Science and not politics responsible for world's conflicts' will also be held on day one.
On March 4, various events like ghazal singing, creative writing, poster competitions, quiz, solo dance, short plays and qawwali will he held besides the prize distribution function at which AU vice-chancellor Prof Rajen Harshe will give away prizes to the winners of various competitions.
On the concluding day, a 'Milan Samaroh' will be hosted for the inmates and former inmates of the hostel. ADG of UP Police VN Rai, who too was an inmate of the hostel in his student days, will be the chief guest on the occasion.
