Kids? murder-for-money dreams go awry

The involvement of these kids in crime came to light on Sunday and hundreds of people gathered outside the police station at Kidwai Nagar to catch a glimpse of these desperadoes.
Even the cops were aghast when they came to know about these kids’ dreams and the crime they committed on Tuesday. Laddu Bengali, a student of Pandit Shivam Narayan School, had hatched a conspiracy along with his four friends to kill a septuagenarian and retired RTO employee BL Lal Srivastava.
Laddu Bengali alias Amit Rai lives in the same building in which Srivastava lives alone. Bengali somehow got the information that Rs 75,000 were kept in the house of Srivastava at Juhi Lal Colony in Kidwai Nagar.
Bengali along with his friends (read accomplices) Deepak, Shanu, Chhotu and Mohit hatched a conspiracy to eliminate the retired RTO employee and steal the Rs 75,000 kept in his house.
On Tuesday night, two of the children stayed outside the flat of Srivastava to monitor the situation and three, including Bengali, entered the flat.
Srivastava was fast asleep and the three children suffocated him with a pillow to murder him. The retired RTO employee became unconscious but suddenly due to a noise in the house the five kids fled without taking the money.The son of BL Lal Srivastava, Mukesh Srivastava, who also lives in an apartment in the same colony, admitted his father, who was in a critical condition, to a private hospital on Wednesday. No one including the police, had a clue about what had happened to the retired RTO employee.
On Friday night when Srivastava regained his senses he told his son that it was Laddu Bengali who was trying to kill him that night and was responsible for his condition.
The Kidwai Nagar police were informed and Laddu Bengali was detained who broke down with mild pressure of the police and revealed all about his dreams, act and name of friends. The police on Sunday brought all the five kids to the police station.
Meanwhile, police have disclosed the details of these five kids. Laddu Bengali alias Amit Rai is the son of Ratan. Deepak is the son of Avinash, Shanu alias Shahnawaz is the son of Munne Khan, Chhotu alias Lokendra is the son of Chandra Bhan Singh and Mohit is the son of Shiv Shankar.
The cops said that kids, inspired by affluent people, wanted to become rich overnight and they had decided to kill some big personality to earn fame in the underworld and live a lavish life in Dubai.
