Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy is likely to quit as chief minister on Monday evening, a day after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) pulled out of the 20-month alliance, Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) sources said.

Kumaraswamy has been left with no option as the Congress has also refused to support him and told Governor Rameshwar Thakur that he should be sacked if he does not quit on his own, party insiders said.
