Laloo mulls train linking pilgrim centres

A train connecting important pilgrim centres could be announced when Laloo presents the Railway Budget.

A special train connecting prominent pilgrim centres in the country could be announced when Railways Minister Laloo Prasad presents the Railway Budget July 6.

The special "Desh-Darshan" train will connect Vaishno Devi in Jammu, Trupati in Andhra Pradesh, Kamakhya Dham in Assam, Shirdi in Maharashtra and Ajmer sharif and Pushkar in Rajasthan.

According to sources at the residence of Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Laloo Prasad's wife, the tickets for the train will be reasonably priced and passengers will be provided with basic facilities like padded berths to sleep on and a pantry car to serve food.
