Leakage affects water supply

A LEAKAGE in Kolar pipeline at MP Nagar hit water supply in many City areas today. This affected water supply on Wednesday in areas that get water supply in evening. The water supply would also be affected on Thursday morning.

A LEAKAGE in Kolar pipeline at MP Nagar hit water supply in many City areas today. This affected water supply on Wednesday in areas that get water supply in evening. The water supply would also be affected on Thursday morning.

According to information, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) team closed the pipeline of 900 mm diameter to repair a leakage at MP Nagar. This pipeline supplies water to the areas connected to the overhead tanks of PGBT, Bal Vihar, Indrapuri, Sonagiri and Govindpura.

According to BMC officials, repair work of these pipelines has been completed. The water supply through this pipeline remained closed from 11 am to 8 pm for repairing work. According to officials, water supply in some areas would also be affected on Thursday morning.

These areas include 1100 Quarters, E-2 and E-6 of Arera Colony, Janata Colony, Govindpura, PGBT and Bal Vihar.

Illegal connection severed at MP Nagar
THE BHOPAL Municipal Corporation (BMC) team snapped an illegal water supply connection at Kamdhenu Complex in MP Nagar. The residents of this complex have illegally taken one-inch water tap connection. The BMC administration would launch a drive against illegal connections in the City soon.
