Lee Jong-Won

The South Korea star has to his credit only six films but is a big star in his country courtesy his good looks and innate talent. Born in 1969, Lee Jong-won has been directed by Byeon Yeong-Ju in Ardor, the film which has also been nominated in the Best Film category in Cinefan.

Jong-won plays In-kyu, a village doctor and philanderer. He spends better part of time jumping from one woman's bed to the next's and all goes well till he meets a married woman and persues her till she gives in to have an affair with him. The catch is he is already married as well and not bothered to inform Me-heun.

During the Christmas holidays that are normally filled with warmth and happiness, Mi-heun (Kim Yun-jin) receives a message from a woman who bursts into her family and reveals that Mi-heun's lover is her husband!

Mi-heun moves away from the village hoping that in so doing she can get rid of the despair that has overcome her after this shocking revelation, but is haunted by never-ending nightmares and painstaking headaches wherever she goes.

Jong-won carries off his role as philanderer with aplomb and panache. A must watch.
