In an effort to generate awareness among public about achievements of the Life Insurance Corporation of India and to celebrate the 50th foundation year of LIC, an exhibition train named 'LIC Zindagi Express' arrived at Allahabad Junction Railway Station on Saturday.
In an effort to generate awareness among public about achievements of the Life Insurance Corporation of India and to celebrate the 50th foundation year of LIC, an exhibition train named 'LIC Zindagi Express' arrived at Allahabad Junction Railway Station on Saturday.

General Manager, NCR Budh Prakash inaugurated the exhibition at the extension of platform number 1 near Line Shah Baba shrine. The main attraction of the 'Exhibition on Rails' comprising six coaches was display of the receipt of Jeevan Beema that was issued to Mahatma Gandhi in 1946.
Not only this, a photograph where Pandit Jawarlal Nehru was seen launching the scheme of Jeevan Beema by opening a lock through a silver key has been exhibited in the second coach of the train. Besides, the journey of the LIC from manual age to computer age has also been brought to light through the exhibition.
Later, various programmes including free medical check-up camp, quiz contest and cultural events were presented on the occasion. This train was flagged off by Minister of State for Finance PK Bansal on April 26 from New Delhi station.
Travelling through various stations, it arrived in the city on Saturday and will stay till Sunday.
Later, this 'Exhibition on Rails' will move to other places of the country. Senior divisional manager of Jeevan Beema SK Thakur, ADRM NCR Ravindra Gupta and employees of LIC and railway were also present on the occasion.
