The 'Intro' tool shares users' LinkedIn details so that the recipient can learn more about the sender's career-related information.

LinkedIn claimed that it's explored every possible attack and worked to protect against it reducing the chances of emails getting compromised on security, the Verge reports.

Earlier, security firm Bishop Fox and researchers at other companies described Intro as inherently in secure for being a potentially weak middle link between sender and recipient.

LinkedIn further added that email data passing through the system is heavily encrypted and stored only for a short period of time.
