I would like to share a positive dining experience. I had gone with my family for dinner to Kainoosh in DLF Promenade mall, which had recently opened. As my family tried to decide what they wanted to order, I asked the server — a young lady — if she could show me the pretty private dining room that I’d noticed on my way in. She escorted me to the room and pointed out all the facilities it offered. But she didn’t stop at that. She also took me on a short tour of the bar next door and the outdoor seating area, all the while giving a running commentary on the theme, décor and what they served.

She may have gone out of her way to please me as the restaurant was new, but it was a pleasantly surprising and very professional gesture, and one of the reasons I’ve decided to patronise the restaurant more often. It was a pleasant change from those restaurants where the waiters look upon you as something they must endure to earn their services charges.
