The employees’ charter of demands includes a 25 per cent hike in salary, enhancement of variable DA, total medical reimbursement against the current practice of partial payment of medical expenses.
“Bosch Limited has declared a lock out with effect from 2230 hours yesterday at its Naganathapura Plant, considering the safety of employees, machineries and installations, as a result of workmen resorting to physical intimidation of officers of the plant during their strike, the firm said in a statement issued on Tuesday.
Employees Association President Prasanna Kumar, however, said they had held 14 rounds of talks with the management over the implementation of their charter of demands in the last one year. But when the negotiations failed, they decided to resort to strikes.
