Lohani to return as MPSTDC MD
HAVING PLAYED a significant role in transforming the MP State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) into a profit-making entity and attractively revamping most of its properties, former MD Ashwini Kumar Lohani is all set to make a comeback and take charge of the corporation as MD again.
HAVING PLAYED a significant role in transforming the MP State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) into a profit-making entity and attractively revamping most of its properties, former MD Ashwini Kumar Lohani is all set to make a comeback and take charge of the corporation as MD again.
The State Government is learnt to have cleared a proposal to that effect clearing the way for Lohani’s return for a second innings at MPSTDC. Lohani, who was on deputation from the Indian Railways, worked as MD for about an year during former Chief Minister Uma Bharati’s reign.
Lohani, during his tenure, made concerted efforts to overhaul the MPSTDC that was till then one of the major loss-making corporations of the State Government. Lohani, an engineer himself, had his work cut out and he went about it hammers and tongs.
