Lucky?s concert a superabundance of melody
NOTED PLAYBACK singer and actor of Bollywood Lucky Ali cast a spell on the audience with his rendition on the last day of the four-day all India annual youth festival ?Kashi Yatra? at the Institute of Technology in Banaras Hindu University on Sunday evening.
NOTED PLAYBACK singer and actor of Bollywood Lucky Ali cast a spell on the audience with his rendition on the last day of the four-day all India annual youth festival ‘Kashi Yatra’ at the Institute of Technology in Banaras Hindu University on Sunday evening.
Lucky started the concert with his popular song ‘Anjane raho mein kya dhoondta phire, door jise socha wo to paas hi mere’ and rocked the audience at the Open Air Theatre of IT-Gymkhana Ground late last evening. ‘Dekha hai kisi ko aise hi’, ‘Nahin rakhta dil mein kuch, sab muh mein rakhta hun’, ‘Kitne arman hain kaise anjam hain, barso ka saath hai’ were among other songs presented by Lucky.
Almost the entire gathering started gyrating when Lucky rendered one of his most famous songs ‘Kyun chalti hai pawan, kyun jhume hai gagan, kyun machalata hai man, Na tum jano na hum’ from the film Kaho Na Pyar Hai. The budding technocrats got emotional when the vocalist sang Aaa bhi jaa, aaa bhi jaa, ai subah aaa bhi jaa, raat ko kar vida, dilruba aaa bhi jaa’ from the film Sur.
Two girls of IT-BHU lent vocal accompaniment to Lucky in this song.
‘Shaam savere teri yadein aati hain, dil ko mere yu tadpati hain, O sanam teri yadon ki kasam’ was the most appreciated song of the entire show which was titled ‘Indian Nite’. Sudhanshu Mishra of IT-BHU also presented a song, ‘Aisi nazar se dekha, us zalim ne chauk par, hamne kaleja rakh diya, chaku ki nok par, kajrare kajrare tere kare kare naina’.
BHU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Panjab Singh, IT Director Prof. SN Upadhyay, Executive Council member of BHU Dr. Satya Deo Singh, Dean of Students Prof.
VK Kumra, Prof. JN Sinha Dr. SK Gupta, Dr. PK Mishra and Dr. Pradeep Srivastava were also present at the concert.Several contests such as play, group dance, photography, extempore and expression were also organised at Swatantrata Bhawan auditorium in the day.
