Madonna clears adoption buzz

Speculations over her adoptiion plan started swirling when news came out that the diva had approached African adoption agencies.

Pop star Madonna has put to rest rumours that she and her husband Guy Ritchie are planning to adopt a child.

According to Contactmusic.com, Madonna is actually a mother of sorts to an African village. The speculations started swirling when news came out that she has approached African adoption agencies. There were also reports that Madonna and Ritchie were even seeking advice from Brad Pitt.

But Madonna now says that she has much bigger plans. Her spokesperson said: "Actually, she is adopting a village of children. Madonna is participating in the building of a school and home for hundreds of kids in Malawi, Africa, and that is her current passion and commitment."
