Mahana seeks Jaiswal?s help for highway

FORMER STATE minister and MLA(BJP) Satish Mahana has asked Union Minister of State for home affairs SP Jaiswal to remove all anomalies and start the proposed construction of highway from Rama Devi to Jajmau Mahana said people were co-operative and were evacuating the place for the construction work but they had not been given compensation as promised. He urged Jaiswal to provide compensation to the occupants.

He said the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) had occupied 200 feet area from the shopkeepers whereas only 120 feet area was needed for the highway construction. Mahana said that two years back, NHAI officers had promised compensation according to the previous norms but now they had declared that no compensation would be provided to anyone.

He said the national highway was a vital project of the government and any kind of hurdle by the area people would adversely affect progress of the project.
