Maharashtra transfers 16 IAS officers in reshuffle

In a reshuffle of the state administration, the Maharashtra government on Monday transferred 16 IAS officers, official sources said.

Uttam Khobragade, Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, has become General Manager of Bombay Electric and Suburban Transport (BEST) Undertaking, while Leena Mehandale, Principal Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD) has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development.

Satish Tripathi, Chairman of 3rd State Finance Commission has become Principal Secretary, GAD, while Dr JM Phatak, Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department.

NB Patil, Principal Secretary, Urban Development, has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Revenue and Forests.

Bhushan Gagrani, Managing Director of Maharashtra Tourism and Development Corporation (MTDC) has been given additional charge as Secretary, Tourism, in the home department and Secretary (cultural affairs), the officials said.
