Launching its "digital campus" in Manipal, MAHE President Ramadas M Pai said e-learning would be offered to medical students as per the Medical Council of India (MCI) curriculum.

Through this, over 2,000 medical students will have access to e-learning, he said.

To facilitate this, the university has distributed 3,000 laptops to students and 1,500 laptops to faculty members, Pai said.

In the first phase, Wi-Fi has been implemented at selected locations that will soon be followed by wireless connectivity at 35 hostels and 24 academic buildings, he said.

MAHE, has also set up a world class data centre to provide 24x7 IT application service besides digitising its admission process, Pai said.
