Maja was born and grew up in Sibenik, a small pretty town on the coast of Croatia. It is a typical Mediterranean town partly consisting of the old with narrow stone roads and terraced houses contrasting with the new and modern buildings.

Having completed her high school education she is currently studying Business Studies at the University of Zagreb, her ambition to become a good businesswoman and mother. Maja enjoys listening to Croatian Music; socialising; modern dance; and most sports including tennis and volleyball. Her favourite food is fish, and her personal motto is "Live brave and honest."
