Man of the Year title for McCartney
?Man of the Year? by GQ magazine.
Sir Paul McCartney can rest assured that no matter how bitter his divorce from estranged wife Heather Mills may turn, he will always be the UK’s ‘golden boy’, especially after being named the ‘Man of the Year’ by GQ magazine.
Even though the former ‘Beatles’ legend was unable to attend the glittering ceremony that honoured him, GQ Editor paid tribute to Macca’s dignified approach to his divorce.
"This year he has been embraced by the Great British public like no time before. And with good reason. Paul McCartney is not only one of our greatest living legends, he's also probably the most dignified," the Daily Mail quoted the editor, as saying.
And while Macca was being named the ‘Man of the Year’, estranged wife Heather Mills was pictured for the first time with her lawyer, Anthony Julius - the man who also represented Princess Diana during her divorce from Prince Charles, and for her £17.5 million settlement.
Sir Paul is also going into the increasingly bitter divorce battle with all guns blazing by hiring Prince Charles’ divorce lawyer Fiona Shackleton.
However, it seems that the battle royale between the two is not only taking a toll on Macca’s health, but also on the person they want to protect the most, their daughter Beatrice who has been ‘acting out’ with tantrums recently.
