Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi arrive in Ahmedabad

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrives in Ahmedabad along with Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil to visit the blast victims in the city.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday arrived in Ahmedabad along with Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil to visit the blast victims in the city.

They proceeded towards the city civil hospital where a high-intensity blast had claimed 23 lives on July 26.

Sixteen blasts on Saturday ripped through the city claiming a total of 49 lives and injuring 145 people.
