A maoist was killed in an encounter at Mallapalem village of Pullalacheru mandal in the wee hours, police said.

A maoist was killed in an encounter at Mallapalem village of Pullalacheru mandal in the wee hours on Thursday, police said.
Raju alias Ashok was working in the Andhra-Orissa border, they said.
One carbide gun and a kit bag has been recovered from the spot, police added.
