Maoist killed in encounter

A Maoist was today killed in an encounter with the security forces in East Singhbhum district, police said here.

A Maoist was today killed in an encounter with the security forces in East Singhbhum district, police said here.

The security forces and the Maoists opened fire at each other at around 2 AM near Banporia village under Patamda police station. The ultras later managed to escape from the spot.

The body of Sunil Gorai, a member of the CPI (Maoist's) Dalma firing squad, was found from the spot, they
said.
