Maoists dabble in surgery: Cops

A recent haul of advanced surgical kits and books imparting the know-how to treat bullet wounds from a Maoist camp in Chhattisgarh has strengthened the police suspicion that the rebels are receiving medical training. Ejaz Kaiser reports.

The seizure of the medical equipment in Abujhmad, a Maoist stronghold in the forest terrain of south Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district, came barely a month after rebels in Jharkhand cut open the body of a CRPF jawan with surgical precision and planted a bomb inside.
