He is Britain’s latest sprint prodigy and former 100m world junior champion.
Canada's 100m Olympic gold medallist Donovan Bailey described him as "the most exciting and phenomenal athlete" he had seen in his life.
Mark Lewis qualified to represent Britain at the 2000 Sydney Olympics but at 17-years he opted to go to Santiago, Chile for the world junior championships where he won the 100m gold with a time of 10.12sec.
He made his senior international debut in the European Cup at Bremen, Germany in 2001 where he romped past Olympic 200 metres champion Kostantinos Kenteris over 100m in 10.13sec.
At 19 he became the youngest ever British champion in 2002, a year in which he also bagged silver over 60m at the European indoor championships at Vienna.
