Suspected activists of the Muslim League pelted stones at the office of Malayalam daily, Mathrubhumi, in Kozhikode on Wednesday, police said.

The incident occurred around 5.30 pm when the League volunteers, who were taking out a march in protest of the attack on the 'League House' earlier, reportedly stoned the newspaper office, the sources said, adding glass panes of front portion of the office was damaged in the incident.

Before the police could reach the spot, the culprits fled the scene, they said.

Unidentified persons had pelted stones at the League office earlier in the day.
