Mayawati expands cabinet

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Thursday inducted two new ministers in her cabinet and elevated two ministers of state to the cabinet rank.
Governor TV Rajeswar administered the oath of office and secrecy to Raj Pal Tyagi and Subhash Pandey as cabinet ministers at a simple ceremony at Raj Bhawan in Lucknow on Thursday evening.
Fateh Bahadur Singh and Ram Het, both holding independent charge as the ministers of state, have been elevated to the cabinet rank.
This is the fifth expansion of Mayawati's council of ministers.
