"Mayawati has become insensitive and no matter how grave the tragedy is, she does not feel the necessity to visit the site and inquire about the condition of victims," senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh said.

Singh and Uma Bharti on Tuesday visited the Hallet hospital, where over 56 injured in the Kalka Mail accident are admitted and inquired about their condition.

Singh also alleged that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has no "control" over in his ministers, and said "when he asked a state minister to visit the site, his orders were not followed."

"The manner in which accidents are happening Prime Minister should resign from his post, as he can not control the situation and has no say even in his ministry," Singh said.

The Delhi-bound Kalka Mail derailed on Sunday near Malwan station in Fatehpur, nearly 120 kms from Lucknow, leaving 69 dead and over 240 injured.
