The KGMU administration has been underlining the fact that they are facing immense problem in conducting the examination for various professional courses as the cost of these examinations has gone up manifold. To counter the problem, controller of examination MS Siddiqui has sent a proposal to faculty board for fee hike. Sources said that with cost going up, there was no other option left with the administration but to raise the examination fees.
In another development, faculty board has granted the request of its 12 students to give a final chance to clear various professional examinations which they have failed to clear for five times.
Before, they are allowed to take the examination, these students would be asked to give an undertaking in which they would allow the varsity to cancel their admission if they failed to clear the examination this time.
The faculty board in its meeting has also decided to declare the result of one of its student Danweer Singh whose results were withheld following his alleged involvement in the violence and arson incident that rocked the campus sometime back.
