IN ORDER to help schoolchildren to perform the simple calculations easily and speedily, ICMAS today launched ‘ICMAS-Abacus Mental Arithmetic Programme’ for the children of age group from 4 years to 14 years.

Demonstrating the uses of the abacus, Manager Operations A Subhash said that this instrument would help children in performing simple calculations easily. “The children could perform complex sums at lightning speed without using any pen, paper or calculator with the ICMAS-Abacus”, said Subhash.

Apart from dramatically improving their skills in arithmetic, the programme would help children to perform well in all other subjects and become more confident and self-reliant, he added. On the occasion, children of various schools and their parents were present.
