Mill collapse: TN CM announces relief for next of kin

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Tuesday announced a solatium of Rs 50,000 each to the families of four women who were killed after the wall of an under-construction rice mill in Tiruchirappalli district collapsed.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Tuesday announced a solatium of Rs 50,000 each to the families of four women who were killed after the wall of an under-construction rice mill in Tiruchirappalli district collapsed.

According to an official release here, Karunanidhi also announced Rs 10,000 each for the five persons injured in the mishap, from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

Four women labourers were killed and five others injured when the wall of the under-construction rice mill collapsed at Thanneerpandal near Tiruchirappalli on Monday.
