As the earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale rocked various parts of country including New Delhi, Haryana and some parts of Punjab on Monday morning, there were not reports of major damage in Rohtak.
As the earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale rocked the various parts of country including New Delhi, Haryana and some parts of Punjab on Monday morning, there were not reports of major damage in Rohtak.
There was not any report of major damage and loss of life in this earthquake. But there were reports that some buildings including schools building, houses, old tehsil complex and some portion of Ch. Ranbir Singh OPD of PGIMS Rohtak were also got damaged in this earthquake.
A roof of government school in village Myna of Rohtak district was fell down. An old mosque in village Dujana was also damaged in Jhajjar district. Few of windows panes of Rohtak civil hospital were also cracked and damaged. There were also reports that cracks came in several houses in villages like Chuliana, Naya Bass, Ismila, Kansala, Samchana and in others villages of district.
The epicenter of the quake was Bahadurgarh town of Jhajjar district. The moderate tremors lasted for just over 8-10 seconds and were felt at around 1.11 pm.
