Missing jawan surrenders after nine days

According to Udhampur senior superintendent of police Anil Magotra Srikant, Tuka Ram, a resident of Nadurakh village in Thane district of Maharashtra, who was deployed with 80 Battalion of 874 unit of Army Supply Corps, went missing on July 6 with his INSAS rifle, three magazines and 60 rounds from the camp.
The army had started searching for him and later lodged a complaint with the Udhampur police, said Srikant. The army has started questioning Ram. However, police said they would take him into custody to ascertain the facts regarding his disappearance once the army hands him over to them.
