Internet services on mobile phones and portable internet connections were snapped early this morning as authorities apprehended that the medium could be used for mobilising people, official sources said.

Majlis Mashawarat, an amalgamation of separatist groups, had called for a march to Parigam village in Pulwama district to express solidarity with the family of Mudasir Kamran, a PhD scholar, who was found hanging from the ceiling of his hostel room in Hyderabad on March two.
