Ask any young girl her ambition these days, and chances are she’ll tell you she wants to be a model. To cash in on the craze, a music company stepped in, and thus was born the Channel V Get Gorgeous hunt.

The hunt was conducted in the form of a reality show, and the four winners were announced recently. Get ready for Tanvi Singh, Archana Vijaya, Natasha Suri and Aarohi Misra, possibly the next big things to hit the Indian modelling scene.

The four girls are from different cities and seem like different people. Archana, 21, wants to pursue a filmmaking course. Natasha wants to go to Australia and do her Masters later. Sweet 18 Aarohi will complete her graduation through correspondence. Tanvi may look like the serious type, but the other three swear she’s the ‘vamp’ of the group.

The four winners have already walked the ramp in Rome for a Suneet Varma collection. Ask them about it and they excitedly ramble on about pizzas, shopping, travel and a beautiful holiday. The channel has signed them on a three-year contract while the modelling agency Elite has a year’s contract with them.

The four girls claim to get along well. “Staying together for the past two-and-half months, we’ve become pals. In fact, we share each other’s shoes, clothes — everything!” says Archana. Agrees Tanvi: “We want all of us to do well. We are focussing on different fields. Natasha and I are into ramp shows while Aarohi and Archana will focus on commercials. So there is no competition.”

Food habits? Tanvi is a self-confessed foodie. Aarohi loves chocolates, but Natasha is cautious: “We love eating but the stuff should be healthy.” Adds Archana: “Our message to all young girls is — eat right and live healthy.”
