Almost a week after Modi ended his three-day sadbhavana fast, he will address the public rally at Vastral where around five lakh people are expected to attend.

Senior BJP leader LK Advani chose not to attend the rally.

The campaign is chief minister's attempt to counter the corruption allegations leveled against his government by the opposition.

Beniwal appointed retired judge RA Mehta as Gujarat's Lokayukta last month, a choice on which the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reservations, making it move the hight court.
