Modi to observe a 51-hr fast against Govt's move
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has decided to undergo a 51-hour fast at Sabarmati Ashram against the move to stop raising dam height.

Annoyed with Union government's decision to suspend construction work at Sardar Sarovar dam, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday decided to undergo a 51-hour fast at Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad from Saturday.
Modi has been vehemently supporting the raising of dam height at Sardar Sarovar. His latest move is to protest against government's move to temporarily suspend further construction of the dam.
