Temperature dropped below 40 degree Celsius at several places due to heavy downpour early on Tuesday. In Lucknow, the maximum was 35.8 degree Celsius as the minimum came down to 24.8 degrees, MET department said.
While monsoon hit some parts of eastern UP, other areas received pre-monsoon showers. Bahraich recorded 32.9 mm, Nazibabad 73 mm and Sultanpur 23.9.
