He further said, "The problem of J&K cannot be sorted out just by the security forces, a lot of political thought has to be installed in order to restore peace."

Curfew was imposed in Srinagar on Thursday, following the death of a 22-year-old protester in alleged firing by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Wednesday.

Five CRPF troopers and two terrorists were killed in Srinagar on Wednesday when the militants belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba attacked a paramilitary picket in the first terror attack in the valley in three years.

Nine others were injured in the firefight that erupted in Bemina.
