Morning walkers at Manda Wild Life Park were sensitised regarding the importance of exercising their 'Right to Vote' under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme here on Thursday.
The sensitisation programme, which was organised under the guidance of Jammu district election officer-cum-deputy commissioner Ajeet K Sahu, kicked off with the tag line - “Worried about your health….! What about nation's health…….!”
A short play 'Humara Farz' by theatre group 'Rangyug' on the occasion conveyed the message regarding the importance of participation in the election process and ethical voting. The timings of the poll - 7am to 6pm - were also highlighted in the play.
Following which the morning walkers participated in a signature campaign and took the pledge to exercise their 'Right to Vote' on April 10.
Similar campaigns will be organised in other parts of Jammu as well.
