In reply, the visitors were struggling at 46 for two. On the first day, rain played spoil-sport eating into 152 minutes of play.
Resuming at the overnight score of 94 for two, MP lost their third wicket at 115 in the form of Shreyas Singh (27). Vikrant and Shreyas had added 89 runs for the third wicket. Earlier, Vikrant completed a brilliant half-century off 171 balls with six hits to the fence.
Aditya joined Vikrant after Shreyas’s departure. Playing cautiously, the duo never allowed Rajasthan bowlers to get over them.
But the day belonged to Vikrant who hammered a century with regular hits to the fence. At 198, Madhya Pradesh lost the wicket of Aditya who made a patient 24 off 113 balls with two boundaries. Vikrant and Aditya had added 83 runs for the fourth wicket.
Vikrant reached his century off 291 balls and 311 minutes at the crease. His masterly stroke was studded with 13 fours. However, he fell soon thereafter adding 11 more runs to his ton.
After Vikrant and Gaurav Patel’s departure, MP lost regular wickets and the team was all-out for 259 runs in 131.2 overs. Gaurav made a fighting 25 and Virendra Singh chipped in with 21.
Aristha Singhvi and Gaurav Khatri scalped two wickets each for 60 and 59 runs respectively. In reply, Rajasthan had a bad start losing the first wicket at 10 when Divya Pratap Singh was run out.
Bhavesh and Atul added 30 runs but Akshay Gautam got a break for MP when he had Atul caught by Gaurav Pable for 14. Meanwhile, Akshay bowled Paritosh before he could open his account.
At the end of day two, Rajasthan was struggling at 46 for the loss of two wickets. Bhavesh Lakhotia was at the crease on 29 (four fours and one six).
