STATE ENERGY Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya said hard work and dedication of power sector employees resulted in reduction of distribution and transmission losses in the State in the past two years.

Vijaywargiya was speaking at the felicitation ceremony organised by Madhya Pradesh Bijli Karmachari Mahasangh the other day. He stated that revenue and credibility of the State electricity board had increased in the last couple of years.

He assured that necessary benefits would be accorded to the power sector personnel and rewards to them would not be overlooked in the name of financial constraints.

Vijaywargiya called upon all personnel to work towards improving the board’s image, maintaining financial stability and providing honest and dedicated services to the people. State Finance Minister Raghavji stated that the reduction of transmission and distribution losses was the main agenda in almost all high-level meetings right from the planning commission to other State-level forums.

He emphasised the State Government was committed to the overall good of power sector employees and pensioners. He assured that the State Government would keep a positive approach to demands of electricity personnel.

Local MLA Umashankar Gupta, MP Central Region Power Distribution Company (MPCRPDC) Bhopal CMD Ajit Kesri, Bhopal region executive engineer Suraj Shivpuri and other officers, employees and retired personnel were also present.
